A valid LHCA Membership is required to participate in our programs, however we do accept other Saskatoon community association memberships.

Fall 2017 Instructor Biographies

  • We have a limited number of grants available to support residents who are currently unable to pay registration fees for our programs. These grants are funded by the City of Saskatoon cost-as-a-barrier program.
  • Kidsport provides funding for youth basketball and soccer registration to families in need. (We’ve had families successful in getting Kidsport grants in the last year so it is worth applying if cost is a barrier for your child.)
  • Contact us at info@lawsonheights.ca with questions about, or requests for, cost as barrier funding. Confidentiality will be respected


Registration for these programs will open on our website March 12

  • Adult Badminton Wednesdays 9:00 pm to 10:15 pm from March 29 to June 5. NO CLASS April 19. Lawson School Gym. {SHCA}
  • Advanced Yoga Mondays 6:30pm to 8pm running April 3 to May 29. NO CLASS Apr 17 and May 22. River Heights School Small Gym. Instructor Sarah Junkin. {RHCA}
  • Pilates 1.0 Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm from April 5 to May 31. NO CLASS Apr 19. River Heights School Small Gym. Instructor Diane Hein {RHCA}

Soccer registration has been extended until March 11 and we are always looking for soccer coaches (training is provided).

Spring Soccer 2017

  • Online Registration Week was from February 26-March 3. A $10 late fee will be applied to each registration cost after March 5th.
  • In-Person Registration was on Tuesday, February 28 from 6-7 pm at Lawson Heights School (entrance).
  • A LHCA membership is required for registration ($10 per family).
  • Please consider being a coach, assistant coach or manager for your child’s team. Funding for coaching clinics is available.  You can indicate this when you register your child.
The mini-FOS (Festival of Soccer) tournament is scheduled for June 9-11, 2017.   The Lawson Heights community soccer teams will be invited to participate in soccer skill sessions on Saturdays through the Hollandia Soccer Club at no additional cost.
  • Equipment: U6, U7, U8 kids will require shin guards and cleats are not a requirement for soccer.
  • Kinder Soccer will be Mondays 6:00-6:30pm May 1 – June 19 (No class on May 22). It is for children born in 2013-2014.  Children get a soccer ball and a uniform to keep. Registration cost is only $30 thanks to sponsorship from Tim Horton’s. Shin guards are recommended but not required.
  • U10 Boys and Girls (Born 2007-8) and all older soccer players, please register with the zone of residence Hollandia Soccer Club, online at: http://hollandiasoccer.com

If the registration fees are to high for your family to register your child/children, you are encouraged to apply for funding from Kidsport.  http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/saskatchewan/saskatoon/apply-for-assistance
